Front cover:
The main image dominates the front cover because it is bold and the most colourful thing on the cover. Because of that it is different from the colour scheme thus attracting the eyes of the viewers to the colourful front.
The text is on top of the image and the white font allows it to be placed in the centre of the image but not obscure the main image. The text on the front cover is well displayed due to the darker image being underneath the segments advertised on the front.
The mast head is behind all the; thumbnails, text and images. This makes the image more important and demand more attention than the mast head behind it. This creates promotion towards the image whist saying that we should know their magazines name even though it is partly blocked by the main image.
Contents page:
The main image dominates most the contents page, it is in a grey style form and this gives it a classy feel that makes us feel like the magazine is displaying the contents in an elegant form.
The text follows the colour scheme as the front cover; the white/grey text gives it an simple but classy/elegant feel to it. This allows the target audience to relate to the type of music the magazine represents.
The white and red text relates to the type of music the magazine the magazine represents because the magazine focuses on rock like Led Zeppelin’s type of music, which many would relate to red and white because of their choice of music and style.
Double sheet spread:
The double sheet images dominate the pages because of the bright colours mixed on the images, plus the fact that most of the text is on half the spread the other image can be fully displayed attracting the eyes and curiosity of the readers.
One of the double sheet spreads has a segment tittle that draws attention to it but because it is behind the main image it also makes the viewer see the main image which draws their attention to the segment article.
The text is following the colour scheme by being white, but the bright colour of the text and background image complement each other causing the image and text to work together to make a more appealing double spread sheet.
